has accepted five important recommendations for improving
quality of education in the states colleges and universities. The
announcement came after Kasturirangan, who is also a Planning

of implementation of his report.
It was a useful discussion and we will do our best in
making qualitative changes in higher education in the
states universities. The Centre has appreciated the state
governments initiatives. It is willing to support the state
in its efforts. Besides, Kasturirangan has assured to take
this up at the national level, he said.
One of the important recommendations given by the Commission
is improving learning and developing skills of students.
Yeddyurappa said that such efforts will help students
by improving job opportunities for them once they step
out of college. He added that the awareness level of students
joining government colleges regarding carrier opportunities
is also increasing and they are seeking courses that help
them procure better career opportunities, Yeddyurappa said.
