ICSE, CBSE, ISC students appear for 1st board exam
Mumbai: Another set of board examinations commenced in
the city on Wednesday with the ICSE, CBSE and ISC students
appearing for their first paper. While senior secondary
students of the CBSE board appeared for their physics
paper, ICSE students took their first language exam.
About 500-600 students appeared for the exams at our centre
and we didn’t face any problem, said Deepshikha
Srivastav, principal of Rajhans Vidyalaya (CBSE),Andheri. The
children seemed at ease and the paper was easy. The exams
are scheduled in a way that they will get some rest between
two papers, said Paul Machado, principal of Campion High
School (ICSE), Fort.
Board exams always start on a light note to ease out the
tension in students, added Machado. ICSE students will
be giving their literature papers on Friday.
A much larger number of SSC students from vernacular mediums
will be appearing for their first language exam. Anxiety
will surely be there as this is the first time the students
will appear for a board exam. Although, after a couple
of papers, they will get familiar with the exam centres
and the surroundings as well, said Malati Renjen, principal
of New Era School at Grant Road.
