Four univs in state get vice-chancellors
Mumbai: The names of vicechancellors of four varsitiesPune
University,Shivaji University in Kolhapur,Yashwantrao
Chavan Maharashtra Open University (Nashik) and Dr Babasaheb
Ambedkar Technological University (Lonere) have been announced.
Pune University:
Raghunath Kashinath Shevgaonkar,a deputy director at the
Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay,will go on to head
the prestigious Pune University.
Shivaji University:
Farmers son and first-generation learner from the land
of grapesAinwadiNamdeo Jagannath Pawar will give top priority
to the establishment of a rural management school.
Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University:
R Krishnakumar is taking over as the vice-chancellor.Krishnakumar
has been the principal of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College,Nagpur,and
has held an administrative post as the director of the
Board of College and University Development of Nagpur
University.
Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University:
Raju Mankar,the new V-C has been serving as the director
of the Laxminarayan Institute of Technology,Nagpur.TNN
