OBCs not keen on BBS, BFIA courses
New Delhi: There are no takers among OBC candidates for
the popular Bachelor of Business Studies and Bachelor
of Financial and Investment Analysis as the third counselling
for the courses got over on Wednesday. In all 77 OBC seats
were converted to general category seats — admissions
for it had closed after the second counselling.
There were 74 OBC seats in the BBS course which is offered
in Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Deen Dayal
Upadhyaya College and Keshav Mahavidyalaya, while BFIA
course had 17 OBC seats offered in Shaheed Sukhdev College
of Business Studies. At the end of the third counselling,
64 seats in BBS and 13 seats in BFIA remained vacant in
the OBC category. ‘‘As per SC guidelines,
the vacant OBC seats were converted to general category
seats,’’ said an official at Shaheed Sukhdev
College of Business Studies.
