IIPM authorised to conduct degree courses
Hyderabad: The Indian Institute of Planning and Management,in
reaction to a report (IIPM degree courses illegal) that
appeared in this newspaper on Wednesday,has clarified
that neither does it operate as a deemed university nor
does it give its own degree.In a statement,IIPM officials
said that the institute runs its non-degree programmes
that do not come under UGC and AICTE.It further clarified
that IIPM is the onsite academic partner of M S University
which grants its degrees to IIPM students additionally.
In fact,all the 18 centres of IIPM are onsite academic
partner institutions of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University,Tirunelveli.IIPM
is authorized to conduct two-year MBA and 3-year BBA and
BCA courses under technical collaboration arrangement
in all its 18 centres in face-to-face mode,the reaction
letter said.The students of IIPM enrolled for the above
courses are under the University-Industry Interface programme,it
added.
