Eligibility Criteria :
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have
passed/appeared* the HSC
(Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra
State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education
or its equivalent examination with subjects
English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Maharashtra State candidates (defined as per rule no.
3.1) and OMS candidates (defined as per rule no. 3.2)
are eligible to appear for the MHT-CET conducted by the
Competent Authority of Government of Maharashtra.
He/She must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission
or will complete the age on or before 1st
January of the year of his/her admission to the 1st
year M.B.B.S. / DENTAL Course.
For MBBS/BAMS/ BDS/BSc. Nursing a candidate belonging
to Open Category must have obtained not less than
50% (i.e. 150 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent)
Examination. A candidate belonging to backward class must
have obtained not less than 40% (i.e.
120 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology
taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination.
For BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP and BP&O courses, passing
grade at HSC / 12th Standard or
equivalent examination is necessary.

Scoring:
Each question carries 1 mark. Each correct
answer will be awarded 1 mark. The wrong answer or
unanswered questions will receive no (positive/negative)
mark.
Syllabus:
Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics for the
MHT-CET 2010 will be the same as for the current
year for HSC Examination (i.e. March 2010) of HSC Boards of
Maharashtra.
Examination Centres :
The MHT-CET-2010 will be conducted at all the district headquarters
of the State of Maharashtra. The MHT-
CET examination center will be within the same
district from where the candidate has passed / is appearing
at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th
Standard examination. For the eligible candidates passing qualifying
examination from outside the state of Maharashtra, the Competent
Authority shall allot the examination center.
The centre of examination for candidates who have passed their
HSC (12th Std) or equivalent examination
from an institution situated outside the state of Maharashtra
(Candidates eligible under Rule 4.7 and Rule
4.8 of this Brochure shall be the district/headquarter of the
Divisional Authority
where he/she has submitted MHT-CET 2010 Application
Form. The center once allotted by the Competent
Authority shall not be changed under any circumstances.
