JIPMER Entrance Examination is usually conducted on the second Sunday of June every year (14.06.2009).

Form Details :

The notification of entrance examination is published in all leading news papers and on the website in January/February every year. Soon after, the application forms and prospectus will be available on payment from JIPMER, Pondicherry. Please also watch website for information (www.jipmer.edu).

Eligibility Criteria :

Students who are Indian nationals, aged 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of the admssion and passed Higher Secondary Examination under 10+2 pattern with English and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together are eligible to appear in the Entrance Examination.

Examination Pattern :

Given below is a table that depicts subject combination for paper and type of questions in paper.

Scoring:
The examination consists of 200 multiple choice questions, of one best response type with four alternatives, each carrying one mark. The evaluation is fully computerized and there is no negative marking.

Syllabus :

JIPMER does not prescribe any syllabus for Entrance Examination. However, it is based on CBSE syllabus for 11^th and 12^th standard students.
