Introduction
SCMS (UG) formerly introduced as Symbiosis BBA was formally
inaugurated on July 12, 2004 in a grand ceremony. What
followed was a journey of discovery, excitement and activities
that has taken us one step ahead in our continuous quest
for excellence.
Presently the institute offers only one programme i.e.
the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). However,
we offer five streams to choose from. |

pass from any branch with minimum 50% marks for general
category and 45% for students of SC and ST

Indian students will be admitted on the basis
of our center’s merit list drawn out of the results
of the selection process mentioned as
above.

The following are the reservation rules that shall be
followed while admitting Indian students:
Scheduled
Caste: 15% (of 240)
Scheduled
Tribe: 7.5% (of 240)
Differently
abled students: 3% (of 240)
Management
Quota: 15% (of 240)
Armed
Forces Dependants: 5% (of 240)
Kashmiri
Migrants: 2 seats over and above the sanctioned
intake.
Who is a dependant of Armed Forces Personnel?
The student should be son/daughter of a serving Defense
Personnel or Ex- Servicemen. The term defence Personnel
from army, Navy, and Air Force who fall in the category
of Ex- servicemen are laid down in the letter of ministry
of Defence letter No. 36034/5/85 Estt (SCT) dated April
14, 1987. A copy of the same may be obtained from the
office of the institute on request.
Policy of admission against vacant seats under reserved category :
In case some seats remain vacant due to the non-availability
of suitable candidates in the category of reservations
then information about the number of vacant seats in each
category will be reported to the Symbiosis International
University and with the permission of the Vice-chancellor,
the seats will be reverted to the general category and
short listed students will be offered these seats.

Application Procedure:
Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a common entrance test for
admission to all undergraduate programmes of Symbiosis. So,
to communicate interest in any particular programme, it is absolutely
mandatory that the prospective student fills in the application
form of that particular institute.
The procedure is as under:
Log on to www.set-test.org
for SET online registration before 10th April 2010 by paying
Rs 1400/-. Now for online registration for our centre, apply
by paying DD of Rs 1000/- before 12th May 2010. The DD should
be taken in favor of "Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies
- UG" payable at Pune and it should be sent to our centre
in the following address:-

Hostel
Modern residential facilities are available to give the
students a ‘home away from home' experience. A well-furnished
and aesthetically designed hostel has been constructed
for girls with a view to provide best possible facilities
to the students. This hostel is situated about 1.5 km
from the college. Students are provided with bus
facility to commute to and from the centre. For leisure
and recreation, both indoor and outdoor sports facilities
are made available in the hostel. Limited hostel accommodation
is available for boys. Preference will be given to
International students and outstation students.
Health Care
Insurance
Every student at Symbiosis is covered under a unique and
novel medical insurance scheme. After paying a concessional
premium, the student is covered for hospitalization up
to Rs. 50,000 in case of non accidental emergencies (as
per the Mediclaim Insurance Policy) & Rs. 1,00,000
in case of Rail/Road traffic accidents.
The Symbiosis Centre for Health Care provides each benefeciary
with an "Insurance Card". This insurance card
confers certain unique benefit to the beneficiary. It
provides for zero hour support in case of medical emergencies.
This includes provision of financial support in critical
circumstances.
