Introduction
The College was established in 1943 by the Deccan Education
Society with a view to providing enlightened leadership
and trained manpower in the field of commerce and business
to the country which was on the threshold of independence.
Prof. D. G. Karve, a renowned economist and some time
Deputy Governor, the Reserve Bank of India was the First
Principal of the College. |
BMCC has been recently selected
by UGC and awarded the status as the 'Colleges with Potential
for Excellence' (CPE). Several schemes of developments
like establishment of Language Laboratory, Faculty (Teaching
& Administrative) Development programs, Computerization
of library and administrative records, etc. have been
proposed under the same. The college will get a handsome
grant of Rs. 60/- lacs under the CPE scheme.

Eligibility :
12th pass in any discipline with minimum 45%
marks with English as passing subject Students appearing
for the final year examination can also apply, provided
they completed all degree requirements by 30th
July 2008. Every eligible candidate has to pass the Common
Entrance Exam to be conducted by BMCC.
Selection Procedure
The college will conduct on aptitude test of 150marks.
There will be 50% weight age given to Common Entrance
Test & 50% to HSC Board Exams results. An aggregate
of the two will be taken & the selection will be done.
The short listed merit student's names will be put up
on the notice board of the college. The merit list declared
will be the final result. It will be treated as an offer
to the admission. There will be no revaluation of the
entrance test.
Procedure for Applying
Outstation student may download the Application Form
from the website and submit amount payable at Pune, Demand
Draft of Rs. 1050/- which can be bought to the college
with cash, or payable at Demand draft of Rs. 1000,
which should be drawn in favour of ' The Principal, BMCC,
Pune.'
